Please reach us at 904-619-6805 or text 904-521-9273 if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Please have your veterinarian email the current dates to us or bring in/text proof of current vaccinations upon arrival. You can text us a picture of their vaccination records to 904-521-9273 or email them to hightailinit@yahoo.com
Age Requirements: Puppies must be 12 weeks of age or older and must have had at least Rabies, DAPP (2 rounds) and Bordetella.
Required Vaccinations (administered by a veterinarian required):
DOGS: Rabies, DAPP, Bordetella
CATS: Rabies, FVRCP
For the benefit of your pet, We recommend that you bring their own food in pre-measured and pre-marked zip lock baggies to maintain your pet's normal diet. This also helps prevent upset stomachs. However, we do provide Hill's Science Diet as our premium house food for $3/per day/per pet.
To ensure a flea and tick free environment, we ask that you do not bring any bedding, fabrics or plush toys. We provide all guests with premium bedding and blanket at no additional charge.
Please note that we are closed on Mondays for daycare but are open by appointment for boarding drop-off and pickup. You can drop off your pet as early as 7 AM Tuesday through Friday, and at 9 AM on Saturdays. On Sundays, drop-off and pickup times are at 7 AM, 1 PM, and 7 PM. For daycare, pickups must occur before 6 PM during the week; otherwise, an overnight stay charge will apply. Sleepover pickups after 9 AM will incur an $11 partial day boarding charge, and after 12 PM, a $23 day boarding charge. Additionally, we do not offer pickups on holidays (Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, etc.), and sleepovers during holidays are subject to a higher rate. We look forward to serving you and your pet!
The youngest age we will accept is a 12-week-old puppy or kitten. Your pet must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and have had at least their second set of vaccinations: Rabies, DAPP (2 rounds) and Bordetella. Once a puppy reaches 6 months of age, and they are unaltered, they will only be allowed play sessions with a staff member or with other dogs from their family.
For the safety of your pet and other guests at High Tailin’ It, we do not accept pets in heat, pets that have been coughing within the last week, pets that have open wounds or stitches, pets that are recovering from surgery, pets that have contagious diseases, or pets who are people-aggressive.
Yes, High Tailin' It accepts unaltered or intact pets. All pets that are unaltered and over 6 months of age will require individual play sessions with our play yard attendant or with other dogs from their family. However, High Tailin' It does not accept any pets in heat; we apologize for any inconvenience.
In many cases, a dog is deemed non-compatible when it can’t be in a shared space with other dogs due to being intact (not spayed or neutered) or because of behavioral concerns including dog-aggression, excessive dominance (mounting), or if a dog is fearful around other dogs. It could also be due to mobility or agility issues, especially in senior dogs who may need physical help or special care. An overly playful pack may not be best for them and one-on-one care may be necessary.
These behaviors and needs are determined as part of a temperament assessment our guests receive when first coming to our facility. This assessment lets our team members know what type of play and socialization are best for each guest and ensures the safety of everyone.
Pet parents who are first-timers with High Tailin' It are encouraged to bring their pup to meet the family! This is a chance for your pet to experience a taste of the good life and for us to get to know them, too — for free! As we get to know your pup, we’ll be able to tell you if they would be ready to play with others or would be non-compatible and require individual care.
Playdates and day boarding is $23/day. This includes all one-on-one fur guests, as well as our guests who are there group play (pending a compatibility assessment).
If your plans have changed, we require a 48-hour notice of cancellation, so we can allow availability for another pet. A lack thereof will result in a $25 cancellation fee.
During the holiday seasons, the cancellation fee will increase to $50. We appreciate your understanding in this area.
